This Tasting Flight has been curated to showcase expressions from both The Irishman and Writers Tears core ranges and makes for a fantastic taste experience as well as an incredible gift.

Writers Tears - Copper Pot: A fine whiskey, which strictly speaking is a blend but only contains pot still whiskey and malt whiskey. Unlike other blends it does not contain and grain whiskey. This has been extremely popular since it was first released.

Writers Tears - Double Oak:  Created using a combination of American Oak Bourbon barrels from Kentucky and French Oak Cognac casks to perfectly age this unique blend of Irish Single Malt and Single Pot Still Whiskey. It is triple-distilled, non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV. This expression is made possible by a close collaboration between the Walsh family in Ireland’s County Carlow and the Legaret family in Cognac, France.

Writers Tears - Mizunara Japanese Cask Finish: a unique blend of Single Malt and Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. Initially matured in American Oak ex-Bourbon casks and finished for 9 months in rare Japanese Mizunara oak giving this whiskey it’s unique characteristics of spice and Japanese incense.

The Irishman - The Harvest: Previously known as Founder’s Reserve, The Harvest is a truly unique take on traditional Irish whiskey. A single malt & single pot whiskey with a creamy, oaky creme caramel taste that is matured in American oak bourbon barrels.

The Irishman Legacy Single Malt: created to commemorate the first known record of Irish distillation, which was written in The Red Book of Ossory in 1324 here in Kilkenny. 2024 marks 700 years of an illustrious history of whiskey-making in Ireland and to mark the occasion we have partnered with The Kilkenny Whiskey Guild to create a whiskey worthy of that celebration. The Irishman Legacy is an elegant Irish Single Malt finished in Cháteauneuf-du-Pape barrels from the Cháteau La Nerthe in Avignon. On the nose this gorgeous single malt offers notes of cherry and liquorice, followed by a flavour profile of rich blackberry and a creamy long-lasting finish.
