Illegal Mezcal Joven, produced in Oaxaca, Mexico by founder John Rexer, who began transporting mezcal from Oaxaca to Antigua to supply his bar. At the time, he brought unbranded mezcal from various villages and in 2006, created the Ilegal brand, originally to supply his Café No Sé bar in Guatemala. Now an artisanal mezcal produced in small batches before being bottled, corked, labeled and numbered by hand.
